Four Teams to test at Batangas this weekend – Mar 19 05

Speedtech, Team Goddard-Minardi Team Asia, Fastron Racing and TOM’S Asia will all be running at the venue of the first round of the series to held on April 10th.

Tyson Sy will be running for Speedtech Asia whilst new signing Dado Pena will have his first outing in the Team Goddard-Minardi Team Asia Dallara 301 car. John O’hara will get his first taste of the TOM’S Dallara 302/4 he will race this year whilst Ananda Mikola will give his new Dallara 304 Nissan its first run.

Tyson Sy has set the mark in recent testing with a 1m 24.4 lap. Whether this will remain the benchmark after this weekend is the question. O’Hara reckons he will be in the 1m 23 lap times without a problem. This test may begin to answer several questions, what chassis is faster, the 301 or 304 model is high amongst them. Also the performance of the Nissan engine remains an unknown and should be revealed during the first major test of the season.
